Directions for Use
Organic Jojoba Oil
As a daily facial moisturiser:
Apply 3–5 drops directly to clean, slightly damp skin morning and evening. Warm between your fingertips and press gently into the face, neck, and décolletage.
As a body oil:
Apply liberally to the body after bathing while skin is still slightly damp for maximum absorption.
As a hair & scalp treatment:
Warm a small amount between your palms and massage into the scalp, or apply through mid-lengths and ends to restore shine and smooth frizz.
As a makeup remover:
Massage a small amount onto dry skin to dissolve makeup and impurities, then remove with a warm damp cloth.
Organic Black Sesame Oil
Full Abhyanga self-massage (primary use):
Warm the oil in a bowl of hot water for 5–10 minutes. Apply generously over the entire body beginning at the crown, using long strokes on the limbs and circular strokes on the joints and abdomen. Leave on 10–40 minutes, then remove with exfoliating gloves and warm water. Finish with a light application of Jojoba Oil to lock in moisture.
Scalp & hair massage:
Warm 1–2 tablespoons and massage into the scalp using circular fingertip pressure. Leave on a minimum of 30 minutes or overnight, then wash out with natural shampoo.
Traditional oil pulling (Gandusha):
Swish 1 tablespoon of warm sesame oil in the mouth first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking. Continue until the oil naturally becomes thin or your mouth fills with saliva, then spit it out. Rinse with warm water and brush teeth as normal.
Culinary use:
Suitable as a flavouring and finishing oil, salad dressings, drizzled over rice, soups, or noodles. Avoid high-heat cooking; keep below medium heat.
Frequency:
Traditionally used daily for Vata constitutions or during Vata seasons (autumn and winter). 3–4 times per week is a common ongoing routine.
Safety: For external use only, except where culinary use of Black Sesame Oil is specified. Perform a patch test before full use of either oil. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If skin concerns persist, it's worth checking in with a skincare professional you trust, and if scalp or joint concerns persist, it's best to check with your doctor. Never microwave or heat oils over direct high heat when warming for Abhyanga.
