About This Blend
Cooling Tranquility is a signature 100% pure essential oil blend formulated by Kimmana Nichols, naturopath and Ayurvedic teacher, specifically designed to address the experience of excess Pitta dosha: the elemental energy of fire, heat, and intensity that governs the blood, skin, and emotions.
When Pitta becomes excessive, it manifests in predictable ways, in the body as heat in the skin, redness, sensitivity, and a feeling of inner fire; in the mind as intensity, irritability, and a driven, reactive quality that can tip into emotional heat. Cooling Tranquility works on both simultaneously. Its six essential oils cool, calm, purify, and refresh, from the surface of the skin inward, and from the outer emotional experience deeper into the body's Pitta-clearing channels.
The blend works through a beautifully designed Pitta-cooling aromatic synergy: cooling Wintergreen and floral Rose support the skin's natural surface ease while the blend's whole-body Pitta-cooling aromatic action supports natural inner cool. Lavender provides its renowned naturally purifying, naturally soothing, and traditionally skin-nourishing aromatic action. Patchouli supports naturally healthy-looking skin and natural skin nourishment. Coriander cools from within. And Ylang Ylang opens the heart and soothes the emotional heat of excess Pitta, the irritability, intensity, and inner fire that so often accompanies this constitutional pattern. Together, they form a synergy that is genuinely cooling, naturally purifying, and deeply soothing, for the skin, the emotions, and the heart.

Why it works?
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Pitta Blend essential oil used for? +
The Pitta Blend is formulated by Kimmana to balance and soothe Pitta dosha, the Ayurvedic energy associated with fire, heat, intensity, and ambition. When Pitta is balanced it supports focus, courage, and leadership. When Pitta is excessive it may contribute to irritability, inflammation, perfectionism, and burnout. This blend uses cooling, calming essential oils traditionally used in Ayurveda to pacify Pitta.
How do I use the Pitta Blend essential oil? +
Use 4-6 drops in a diffuser to create a cooling, calming environment, or dilute 2-3 drops in a teaspoon of jojoba or coconut oil for self-massage or pulse point application. Adding a few drops to a cool or lukewarm bath is a traditional Ayurvedic Pitta-pacifying practice. Avoid direct application to skin without dilution. Not intended for internal use.
Can the Pitta Blend essential oil help with irritability or anger? +
In Ayurvedic understanding, excess Pitta dosha is associated with emotional heat, intensity, frustration, and inner fire. Pitta-cooling aromatherapy is traditionally used as part of Ayurvedic emotional balance practices to support a naturally settled, cool state of mind. Diffusing cooling essential oils during high-pressure or tense moments is a time-honoured Ayurvedic practice. This product is not a treatment for any mental health condition.
Can the Pitta Blend help with burnout or mental fatigue from overwork? +
Excess Pitta depletion from overwork is a well-recognised pattern in Ayurveda, the fire of ambition that eventually depletes itself. Pitta-pacifying practices including cooling aromatherapy, rest, and a nourishing routine are traditionally recommended during periods of high work intensity. The Pitta Blend is used as part of a cooling, calming evening routine during demanding work periods. It is not a treatment for any medical condition.
Who should use the Pitta Blend versus the Vata Blend? +
The Pitta Blend is ideal when excess heat, intensity, or emotional pressure are the qualities most needing balance. It was thoughtfully formulated with cooling essential oils traditionally valued in Ayurveda for settling heat and supporting comfortable skin and emotional wellbeing. The Vata Blend takes a different approach, using warming, grounding aromas to support a calm, centred mind and nervous system during periods of restlessness or mental overactivity. Many people naturally alternate between blends as their needs change throughout the seasons and different stages of life.
