Directions for Use
• Standard dose: 1–2 drops per nostril, or as prescribed by your Ayurvedic practitioner.
• Warm the oil before use: Place the container in warm water for a few minutes until comfortably warm. Test on the inner wrist first.
• Lying down method: Lie down with the head tilted gently back and to one side. Apply 1–2 drops into the upward-facing nostril. Remain still for 1–2 minutes. Roll to the other side and repeat.
• Finger application: For daily Pratimarsha Nasya, place 1–2 drops on the little finger and gently coat the inside of each nostril.
• Steam or warm rinse after application: For enhanced penetration, steam the face or rinse the face and mouth with warm water after applying. If the oil naturally reaches the throat, gently hawk and spit it out rather than swallowing as part of the traditional Nasya clearing process. This traditional step helps remove loosened mucus while supporting comfortable absorption of Bala's nourishing compounds into the head channels.
• Timing: Traditionally practiced on an empty stomach, at least an hour before or after exercise, or meal.
• After Vacha Nasya: When used in sequence with Vacha Nasya (Kapha-clearing Nasya), Bala Nasya is applied after the clearing phase, typically beginning after 1–2 weeks of Vacha Nasya. The cleared channels are then ready to fully receive Bala Nasya's deep nourishing action. Seek guidance from your Ayurvedic practitioner for individualised sequencing.
